Devlog #1 - PixelWorld Demo 1.0.1
Hi All,
Cheers to the first written Itch devlog for Pixelworld. Previous devlogs can be seen in this Youtube playlist. Pixelworld has been in development for over a year now and I am excited to share an early version of the game as a demo. There are admit-ably a lot of bugs and it needs tons of game balancing, but I set the start of 2022 as a goal to release a demo in a semi-playable state. Please go and have a play, and post either in the comments of the itch page or in discord if you have any constructive criticism or bug reports.
PLANS FOR THE FUTURE
My goal for this year is to update the build at least once a month- fixing bugs, adding new content, improving game balance, and more. In terms of features, I plan on reworking world generation to pre-load large chunks called Lands that have central towns you can call home base. Reworking world generation is a massive undertaking, and while I have plenty of other plans for the future, I will keep it at that for now.
I'll announce updates to the build in a devlog, on socials, and in discord.
